I had laid a fine layer of dust on my wife’s car by the time I got close to the stairs. I realized that I would need to cover them to keep from blowing large quantities of insulation down into the garage.
I built a ‘dam’ of 1×12 lumber around the stair opening.
I built a cover out of left-over cardboard.
With the stairwell covered I could spray insulation directly at it and no fallout would occur.
